First Bites: Starting Solids Without the Stress

First Bites is a practical, confidence-boosting class for parents getting ready to introduce solid foods. We’ll cover when your baby is ready, what to offer, and how to start in a way that feels safe, realistic, and stress-free. You’ll learn the basics of baby-led weaning and purées, how to prepare foods safely, reduce choking risk, and respond to gagging vs. choking. We’ll also talk through common worries like allergens, mess, and “what if my baby doesn’t eat?” This class is perfect for parents of babies approaching 6 months old or anyone wanting a calmer, more informed start to solids. Come curious, leave confident — and ready for mealtime to actually feel doable.

Who's This For: Parents with babies nearing 6 months or interested in learning about starting solids.
